“Pushing Daisies” follows the story of Ned, a pie-maker, who can bring the dead back to life with a single touch. “The Leftovers” is a drama that explores the aftermath of a global event during which 2% of the world’s population inexplicably disappears into thin air. With its haunting atmosphere, profound storytelling and powerful dynamics (especially between the characters played by Justin Theroux and Carrie Coon), this series is an emotional rollercoaster.
While it did receive some critical acclaim, it never managed to achieve the widespread popularity that it truly deserves.
